About NEET-UG(NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST -UG)
NEET -UG 2020 was conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental & other Colleges/ Institutes in India.
The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and for providing an “All India Rank Merit List” to the Directorate General Health Service, Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for providing the result to States/other Counselling Authorities.
The admission to MBBS course in AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER and all AIIMS like Institutions will be made through NEET-UG. The eligibility criteria applicable to appear in NEET (UG) shall also be applicable to the candidates desirous to take admission to one of medical institutions like AIIMS, AFMC, JIPMER, GMC, KJSMC, and others
About IIT-JEE Main Exam
Joint Entrance Examination – Main or commonly known as JEE Main is a national level entrance exam conducted by NTA as entrusted by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India from 2019 onwards. The JEE–Main, which replaces AIEEE, the admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTI), Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The (B. E. /B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced),
About IIT-JEE Advanced Exam
JEE Advanced is the exam for admissions to the B.Tech., Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the 23 IITs and also to IISc, IISER, IIST, IIPE like institutions of the country. Students who qualify JEE Main in order of merit becomes eligible for appearing in IIT-JEE Advanced.
Through JEE (Advanced), IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Architecture. Both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are awarded to candidates enrolled in the dual degree programs upon successful completion of the course curriculum. In some of the IITs, students enrolled into the 4-year Bachelor’s program have the option to pursue B.Tech. (Honors) and/or B.Tech. with Minors.
Dual Degree students may also pursue a Minor. Further, in some IITs B. Tech. students also have the option to pursue Interdisciplinary Dual Degree, with Bachelors in parent Department and Master’s in some other Department. All the above options require fulfillment of certain academic performance related criteria.
About MHT-CET(Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test)
This exam is conducted by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra. It is a state level entrance test organized every year to offer admission in various government and private institutions situated in the state of Maharashtra. Candidates successfully qualifying the entrance exam are provided admission in Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy programmes. As per the changes made by DTE Maharashtra, MH CET will be conducted in online CBT mode in multiple shifts.
As per DTE Maharashtra with an official notification on the web portal, the questions in the MHT-CET Exam will be based on the syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Approximately 20% weightage will be given to class 11th curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to class 12th curriculum while setting the question paper.
The exam consists of 3 papers conducted in online mode. These are MCQ-based questions and the duration is 180 minutes. Students appearing for engineering stream will have to sit for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics paper. Aspirants must keep in mind that mathematics papers will be published in the English language only. Students who wish to pursue a career in Pharmacy must appear for Physics & Chemistry and can choose between Math or Biology.
